Introduction
As we all know by now that to become a CNA in Florida, you have to pass two levels of examinations. These levels are written or knowledge examination and clinical trials.
When you plan to appear in these examinations, you have to first get your documents to apply to be able to sit in these examinations.
Pre-Requisites
Firstly, you must have high school diploma or any equivalent degree, some basic training of nurses which you can get from any nursing training program which can easily be found near you and then all you have to do is to apply for it.
Fees
We should remember that we must pay the fees before sitting in the examinations. Both parts have different fees, and they should be paid accordingly. The regular fee for the test or examination is $140.
Here it is noteworthy to mention that both exams have different formats and they can vary from state to state.
Usually, the knowledge exam has multiple questions while the clinical exams require you to perform a different set of skills and fulfill the certain task which any nurse should be aware of like First Aid, blood pressure reading, emergency bandage, etc.
In case you fail in the examinations then you will have to reappear, and you will have to pay again. The old fee naturally gets canceled as you could not clear in the first attempt.
Cost Of Exams
According to the nurse’s laws in Florida, the retake fee for the clinical exam is $105 while for the written or knowledge examination is $35. Here you should also know that the retake of the exam will have a different schedule and board may charge additional fees as well.
